This is introductory fold, but it feels like an advanced fold.
But I managed to do it, don't mind the misfolds. Hopefully, you will be able to do this origami with fewer struggles than me.
I recommend using colored paper just so the instructions are a little easier to follow along.
Step 1: Fold in half along the height of the triangle. |
Step 2: Fold the bottom corner till it touches the top base. |
Step 3: Fold in half along the height in the middle. |
Step 4: Fold the red over the diagonal of the right triangle. Then flip over the origami. |
Step 6: Using the white part, unwrap it until it points outwards. |
Step 5: Fold the tip inside itself. |
Step 7: Fold the front-most part in half., by folding it into itself. |
Step 8: Fold the whole middle part down onto the rest of the paper. |
Step 9: Fold the extra parts into itself. |
Step 10: Fold the corners up to make a square shape. |
Step 11: Pinch the lower side so that the corners you folded up like, poke out. |
Step 12: Fold the sides behind to make a diamond shape. |
Step 13: Fold in half along the middle. |
Step 14: Fold the lengths across the middle. |
Step 15: Fold along the 3 end part to make the legs |
Step 16: Open up the part in step 15. |
Step 17: Fold the ends towards the middle (the white part). |
Step 18: Fold the previous step in half. Then you move the wings back by pulling and making creases so it will stay. |
I forgot to add pictures on for the head of the songbird. But I'll describe it. You fold the top part into the inside, then you do the same thing, but make it go out for the beak.
