It may not seem like it but there are multiple things that could go wrong in a soccer game due to poor equipment. The equipment you need is a good soccer shoe, the right playing surface, a ball, and sometimes goalie gloves. The right cleat can have major advantages like help you avoid serious injury. The is key is once you find the right cleat you must take care of it. Some precautions you can do to make your cleat life longer is to untie the laces properly, clean your cleats after each game, and if they become wet dry them but do not dry with a hairdryer they could crack. Playing surfaces have a large impact on the way you play and what you wear. Soccer is played on different surfaces and there are different shoes for each purpose. When you play on grass you should play with normal soccer cleats to avoid injury. When playing on turf you should wear turf cleats to avoid injury. Though most players don't follow this including me don't practice this because soccer shoes are expensive this is how to most effectively prevent injury. A ball can also come into play if it is too hard. If it is too hard and you kick it you could injure your foot or leg. Another useful trick is to wear shinguards that are the right size and that include ankle which offer protection and support ankles. If you are a goalie you will need goalie gloves. The right gloves should fit your hand and have lots of padding and ensure the protection of the wrist.
