Tangling for Beginners - silhouette

There's one last thing to do with all of the knowledge you've gained about tangling, and that is silhouettes. There are two kinds, extreme tangles and silhouettes. Extreme tangles, as Walter Foster says in his book "The Art of Tangling", are "dense (and) intense" (Foster, 32).

Creating a silhouette is quite easy actually. "Simply sketch the outline of any animals or objects on your paper. Then fill in the space around the silhouette with dark, dramatic tangles of your choice." (Foster, 33). Doing this will be much like doing the motifs, just on a bigger scale, which, consequently, requires more work and creativity.

While doing this silhouette tangle, remember to try and use different widths and shapes of the lines. The diversity is key to your tangle design.

For mine, I did a heart, because it's almost February, which has Valentine's Day.

What silhouette would you draw?
