This photo has many contrasting shapes and colors. The colors from the sunset mixed with the sky create a contrast of colors, also making the main focal point be the sun.

On page 36 Nicole Woods describes focal point as, " ...a focal point is something that your eyes cannot let go of. Yes, your view may stray from time to time, but it will return to the focal point."
A focal point can also be described as the first thing that catches your attention.
The contrasting of shapes and colors can help recognize the focal point.
This quote from page 36 from Nicole Woods tells us how using the contrasting colors of the sky and sun we can recognize the focal point.

  3. Nice picture! I like how you described what a focal point was in a clear way that is easy to understand. I draw sometimes and I use focal points too. The sun really stands out well and it's the first thing I saw.
