Attacking Soccer- Passing tips

Passing is the one of the most important parts of soccer. It's simple but it's difficult skill to master, there are three main tips that can help you accomplish this task.

Vision

If you know where you are passing, its more efficient. Vision can help you find open players on your team to pass to and it gives you the ability to know what is happening on the field at all times. It can improve your technique, which is a ability you need to get out of tough situations.

Pass Often

When you are in a game, it is good to pass the ball often so the opposing team doesn't have more time to think of a way to get the ball back. Passing often can also get the ball
down the field faster and more effectively than just keeping the ball to yourself and attempting to get the ball all the way down the field. Going along with passing often, you should also pass fast because it will give less time for the opposing team to mark you and your teammates.

Through Passing

Using this pass can be deadly, but a good passer always sees opportunities for through passes. To make this pass, you would use a chipped pass so the other teams won't get a chance to intercept it. A chipped pass is kicking it into the air towards the target you are aiming for.

Question:
Out of three tips, which do you think is most important? Would you ever attempt a through pass?

  1. I think that this is a great blog post for any soccer player! This is something all people and players should know how to do during a game. I personally always work on my through balls when I see my teammates making runs into open spaces! A through ball is one of the most common passes in the game of soccer and also is one of the most effective in an attacking play. The tip to a good through ball from experience is knowing how to time the pass to the players momentum and speed of direction, if you can figure that out in the matter of time you have which is usually mere seconds then you can easily figure out which place and how much power to put the ball directly to or in the path of your teammate making the run.
